Welcome to ScalarStrength. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application. We are committed to protecting your personal data, particularly the sensitive fitness and health metrics required to provide our intelligent coaching services.

  1. Information We Collect To act as an effective fitness coach and generate customized workout blueprints, ScalarStrength must collect specific information about you and your training:

Account Information: When you create an account, we may collect your name, email address, and secure login credentials.

Fitness & Physiological Data: To optimize your hypertrophy, volume, and recovery, we collect physical attributes (such as height and weight) and detailed training logs (including exercise selection, sets, reps, volume parameters, and strength progression). Google Play classifies this as sensitive health data.

Device & Usage Data: We automatically collect standard diagnostic data, such as your device type, operating system (e.g., Android), app crash logs, and how you interact with the app interface.

  1. How We Use Your Information We use the data we collect entirely to operate and improve your experience within the app. Specifically, we use your information to:

Generate highly customized, continuously adapting workout blueprints.

Calculate optimal training volume, maximum recoverable volume (MRV), and minimum effective volume (MEV).

Provide account management and customer support.

Monitor app performance and fix technical issues.

Prohibited Uses: ScalarStrength explicitly does not use your sensitive fitness or health data for determining employment eligibility, insurance eligibility, or unauthorized social sharing. Your data is never sold to data brokers or advertising networks.

  1. Third-Party Processing & Artificial Intelligence To provide intelligent workout generation, ScalarStrength utilizes the GPT-4o mini application programming interface (API) provided by OpenAI as a third-party subprocessor.

When you request a workout blueprint, your relevant fitness metrics and training logs are securely transmitted to the OpenAI API to generate your routine. By using ScalarStrength, you consent to this processing under the following strict privacy parameters:

Zero Training Policy: Data transmitted from ScalarStrength to the OpenAI API is not used to train, improve, or fine-tune OpenAI’s foundational AI models.

Data Retention: OpenAI retains API requests securely for a maximum of 30 days strictly for system abuse and monitoring purposes. After 30 days, this data is automatically and permanently deleted from their servers.

Your data is transmitted to OpenAI using industry-standard secure cryptography (HTTPS/TLS).

  1. Data Security We implement administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. All sensitive fitness data and personal information are encrypted in transit using current cryptography methods (HTTPS) and secured at rest. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable.

  2. Data Retention & Account Deletion We retain your personal and fitness data only for as long as your account is active and you are utilizing ScalarStrength.

Your Right to Deletion: You have the right to request the complete deletion of your account and all associated personal and fitness data at any time. You can execute this deletion directly within the ScalarStrength app by navigating to [Settings > Account > Delete Account].

Upon initiating this request, your data will be permanently purged from our active databases, and any cached data will be removed in accordance with our standard deletion cycles.

  1. Children’s Privacy ScalarStrength does not knowingly solicit or collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13 without verification of parental consent, we will promptly delete that information from our servers.

  2. Changes to This Privacy Policy We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will alert you about any changes by updating the “Effective Date” of this Privacy Policy and, where required by Google Play policies, providing prominent in-app notification.
